Safety & Marshalling Boats for Events
We provide safety boats for marshalling and patrolling events that are crewed by
skilled and qualified personnel to national and international standards for maritime
events and often work in conjunction with other organisations, for example:
Solent Swims - Starting from Gilkicker Point in Stokes Bay across to Ryde on the
Isle of Wight with our friends at the Portsmouth and Southsea Voluntary Lifeguards.
Pier to Pier Swims - Again with our friends at the Portsmouth and Southsea Voluntary
Lifeguards.
Bournemouth Air Festival - Since 2007 we have provided safety boats, including policing
the exclusion zone where pilots, a plane or parachutist may go down. This year we
performed so well that the organisers have invited us back and since they have the
contract for the next three years, we look forward to working with them for many
years to come.
International Festival of the Sea - We were major marshals at this event, providing
much needed patrol boats.
Fleet Review - Where we were one of only a select few organisations granted a QHM
Warrant for the review.
Round The Island Yacht Race - Safety and patrol boats for competitors for the annual
races around the Isle of Wight.
Cowes Week - Safety patrol boats for one of the highlights of the yachting calendar.
Cowes Fireworks - Marshal and patrol boats for the end of week firework display.
Maritime Emergencies - Vessels to patrol the wrecks of the recent Napoli and Ice
Prince disasters.
SOLFIRE Exercises - Personnel for these important exercises in the Solent.
Round Britain Power Boat Race - Safety and patrol boats for one of Britain’s premier
power boat races.
As you can see from the above, we have vast experience and knowledge of providing
safety boats for patrolling, policing and marshalling events both on-the-water and
